Who Is Andrea
Andrea L. Jacobson is an award-winning figurative artist whose work explores the complexities of identity, belonging, and the search for self definition within our societal and familial roles. Represented by Anarte Gallery in San Antonio, Jacobson has exhibited both nationally and abroad. She creates works on canvas, sculptures, and murals that merge technical precision with emotional depth, often incorporating intricate patterns, rich textiles, and layered symbolism.
Fueled by curiosity and inspiration from contemporary and classical sources, Jacobson invites viewers into a dialogue that challenges perception, honors personal and collective histories, and celebrates the transformative power of art. She has exhibited internationally.
Alongside her studio practice, Jacobson brings over fifteen years of experience building teams, leading teams, and managing complex creative and technical projects. An engaging public speaker, Andrea connects with audiences on creativity, process, and the role of art in shaping cultural identity. She collaborates with cultural organizations and public art programs to create works that resonate deeply and activate shared spaces.
